Crawley Community Church

The Mission

A church where we love God passionately, love one another deeply, love our community authentically.

Quite simply, we love Crawley, and want to demonstrate the good news about Jesus to our town in all kinds of ways.

There are well over 100,000 people in Crawley, most of whom have not taken the opportunity to engage with the gospel or connect with a New Testament church.

Our mission to reach them involves all of our church family actively participating in normal life and friendships in the town: Playing our part along with other churches, to serve and bring out the best in Crawley, joining local groups, sports clubs, making real friendships.

At the same time, the mission is so important that we are investing in some key teams to help us:

The Charis Centre : So much more than our church building, this town centre site is a genuine community base, serving many groups from across the town. Each week, well over 1000 people use our building for everything from conferences to training, fitness, meetings, counselling, care, choirs, even prayer! People from all kinds of backgrounds are making their first point of contact with the local church in and through their access to The Charis Centre.

We are always looking for people-focused volunteers to help our great team. To find out more, email office@ccconline.org.uk.  Check out The Charis Centre Website here : www.thechariscentre.org

Revive : Our charity shop is like an extension of the local church in the middle of the marketplace. The shop itself is wonderful, but the vision is all about creating community and serving the town with love and openness. In particular, Revive is a connecting point for those from disadvantaged backgrounds. If you want to join our great volunteer team, serving in a shop, but also expressing God’s heart for the poor through conversation and friendship, please contact us.

Jungle Tots : This fantastic parent and toddler group is now well into its teenage years, continuing to grow and serve countless families from across Crawley! Open at The Charis Centre from Tuesdays to Fridays during term time, Jungle Tots provides a safe and caring environment for parents and children to have fun together, served by our brilliant and creative team. With safe play areas, inside and out, stories, songs, refreshments and even dressing up, this team really serves family life, irrespective of background.

Friday Network : Every third Friday of the month, Friday Network serves over 55’s in the town by providing a welcoming and friendly place to meet at The Charis Centre. They will often host special guests of local interest, sometimes a quiz and even a Christmas meal. The real heart behind Friday Network is a desire to see those who are vulnerable, lonely and isolated being involved and included in the community. If you want to find out more, or serve on our volunteer team, please contact us.

Solid : On Friday evenings during school term time, Solid meets at The Charis Centre to cater for young people of secondary school age. This Youth group serves young people from both church families and those who are not yet connected with the church. All young people in secondary school who would like to come along are more than welcome. Solid runs between 7.30-9.30pm.
